Ming Inn didn’t disappoint. Food was great and service was so friendly.
I used to buy takeaway from this Chinese Aussie Family when they operated a similar place in Mitchelton. The son took my order and mentioned to his Mum that I had said I was an old customer. I ordered on a Monday night which is a quiet night and my food was ready within 10 minutes. When I collected my 3 dishes and owners came out to serve me not only did they remember my Shandy Order from years ago they also remembered my name.
Old School service is so rare these days. Please give these guys a try. If you like your food a certain way please let them know. If you have a negative experience give them a call or drop by and chat to them. They will fix it.
The restaurant itself is like it is in a time warp from the 70’s and 80’s. I’m sure eat in food would be great but not the type of place to go to if you are looking for “Ambience”.
Food is Great.

First up: I love traditional Australian Chinese food.
We walked in and saw the old school round tables and 70’s school hall vibe, and worn plastic picture menu on the wall and just knew it was going to be good!
We had spring rolls and dimmies to start, then the spicy beef, honey king prawns, special fried rice and green veggies with garlic.
This place did not disappoint. Fresh, delicious and flavour-filled. Cannot wait to go back.
As a bonus they are BYO and there is a bottle-o downstairs if you want something to drink.
Plenty of parking too.
5 stars to you Ming Inn for delivering exactly what we hoped for when we walked in.

Society needs to frequent and treasure Australian Chinese restaurants like the Ming Inn so they stay financially profitable for the hardworking owners and staff that operate them. An excellent place to eat.

Had Chinese here last week and it was great! Decided to try the Char Kway Teow and satay this week - what a disappointment :( Char Kway Teow ingredients were ok. Not all authentic but ok anyway. But they put masses of chilli (flakes??) in it. Waaaay too much. Satay was also just weird flavour. Such a shame :( I’d eat Chinese here anytime though :)
